Legendary Whitetails SAL AHERENS REPLICA TYP
AA4021
212 0/8 Typical. This giant also hails from t he great deer producing state of Minnesota. Scored over 200" are extremely rare to find in typical antlers, but the Sal Aherns beats it handily with an exceptional 212" score. Well known antler collector Chuck Arnold spent years tracking down the rumors of a monster typical from Minnesota. Finally his long search paid off and he acquired this magnificent deer. Only after he had scored it, did he realize that it surpassed the current world record typical buck, the famous 206 1/8" Jordan Buck! Just before the official scoring organization, Boone and Crockett, was to announce the Sal Aherns as the new world record typical antlers, photos of this deer surfaced showing sticker points that were no longer present on the original antlers. They had been skillfully removed. Since stickers point inches are deducted from typical antler gross scores, someone had removed them to artificially improve the typical score of this deer. The person responsible for removing the stickers points remains unknown to this day. Boone and Crockett was forced to disqualify the deer from the record books. Nevertheless, this deer is a thing of beauty to behold and still remains as one of the giants in the world of whitetails.
