After being cold for 10 years of bowhunting, I thought it was time to buy some good clothing. Arctic Shield had high marks for warmth. These bibs are warm, but they are not waterproof! If you walk to your stand with them on, you'll need to unzip the chest and flaps on the legs or you will be sweating by the time you get there. For warmth on the stand, the product is great!

I bought the full set of H9 Bibbs and Coat. I Wanted to see how it stood up to their claim.. so I used in Colorado on an Elk Hunt. The first day out the Temps were in the 20's and blowing snow. It only got worse dropping to single digits. I didnt take as many layers thinking that I should stay warm in this gear. I think I used Base Slayers , then a layer of Fleece, along with the top layer of the H9. Also have the boot blankets and glove system. I stayed pretty dry in them. But after a few hours the cold did set in. I will say that I didnt use nearly as many clothes as I have in the past, but to say you wont get cold .. isnt entirely true. The gear does reduce the amount of layers you have to use though. Bow Hunting in Kentucky in 40's and 50's I wore Base Slayers and the H9 only. . stayed comfortable. Overall this is a good product but in extreme cold .. still better layer up pretty good. My GRIPE!! On the first outing in colorado I discovered on day two that the crotch of the Bibbs inside lining was torn already. For the money I did expect years of wear before having to deal with repairing seams!

My husband says these are the best bibs he has ever owned. He is wearing them for hunting and says they keep him really warm. Anybody who is going to be in Wisconsin winters, should have a pair of these.

I ordered the bibs to go with the H9 jacket that I got the year before . The jacket worked so well I had to have the bibs and they are worth every penny ! They are quiet ( BOW HUNTING )soft and light weight . I can cut my lawyers in half and still stay warm on the coldest of days . I have not hunted in the rain yet but I did spray them down with a water proof spray just to add that extra protection layer for all day bad weather hunting as well .

I have been threw a lot of bibs in my years of hunting and fishing I finally found a pair that meet all the needs of my demands. I use them for late season bowhunting in Wisconsin and ice fishing on Winnebago and poygan. I have yet to find anything wrong with them and I used them all last season. I enjoy the not so bulky part of them the most. Goes to show you don't need ultra bulky winter items to stay warm. I highly recommend these bib's.

I live in Kodiak AK. besides lots of bears we get lots of rain. I am looking for gear that will stand up in wet cool conditions in summer and wet ice cold conditions in winter. Kodiak is no walk in the park you get wet you get dead summer and winter. please let me know if the Hunting Jacket and Hunting Bibs are water proof. If they are sold if not moving on.

  The H9 Pro Series Jacket & Bibs in Realtree AP are waterproof. Although you will not get wet, the outer shell of the jacket has the tendency to capture water in heavy rain. All this means is that you will need to dry out your jacket the following day for max comfort.
